In case you missed them! Complete list of Oscar winners!

This year’s Oscars wasn’t amazing, but it had his moments (LUPITA!! Alfonso! 12 Years a Slave!) and Ellen created some really strange but funny bits (the pizza!). It also had some odd hiccups (John Travolta’s Adele Menze? Kim Novak and Matthew McConaughey? Pink for Over the Rainbow?). Lots of people won who should have won, like Lupita and Cate and 12 Years a SlaveGravity swept the awards with 7 wins, but the real winner this year is SCIENCE (and Sir Isaac Newton).

Overall, not the most entertaining ceremony, but awards going to the right people is lovely.

Art can’t fix anything. It can just observe and portray. What’s important is that it becomes an object, a thing you can see and talk about and refer to. A film is an object around which you can have a debate, more so than the incident itself. It’s someone’s view of an incident, an advanced starting point.

Benedict Cumberbatch Gets Sold Into Steve McQueen’s ‘Twelve Years a Slave’ ⇢

A film with Benedict Cumberbatch AND Michael Fassbender directed by Steve McQueen? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a better trio!!

Not only will it look unbelievably gorgeous but it will also be exceedingly well-performed. My kind of film! I might explode with anticipation! Who else is with me on this?
